Login Issue – 404

Hi,

I just purchased Databased Personal Edition. I got pass the installation, but when I want to login, it shows 404. After I browsed here, I found one similar problem to mine:

However, I tried everything mentioned there, and still can't login.

I will only use Databased in localhost, so I can't give you direct access. I run it on XAMPP 1.7.4 with Apache 2.2.21 and  PHP 5.3.5 on Windows computer.

Hi 6Lensa, 

Since you're running this on a local server, the support we can offer will be rather limited. Furthermore, as described in the requirements, we only support Linux/Unx servers (some of our customers did report they could get the script to work ok on a Windows server, however we haven't tested it and we have 0 experience with Windows servers, hence we don't support it).

First thing to do is edit /index.php and set the mode to "development" instead of "production", this will make sure any possible errors will appear on your screen. Perhaps this will offer some clarity.

Thanks for the quick response! I changed the mode to production, but it still just shows 404. Regarding server, although I use Apache, is it still count as windows server anyways?

Yes, I'm afraid it does :( The underlying OS is still Windows, and script uses some Apache modules which don't exist under Windows (like mod_rewrite).

The script is build using CodeIgniter, so you might want to a Google search based on CodeIgniter and the issue you're experiencing. Another thing to try is removing the file "/web.config" and see if that changes anything.
